You’r Gonna Miss Me When I’M Gone Chapter 155

You’r Gonna Miss Me When I’M Gone Chapter 155

Chapter 155 Do You Remember That Night

At the Northwood Corporation, Lucian furrowed his brow in response to his new secretary’s

hesitant expression and asked frustratedly, What’s the matter?”

He rarely used social media, preferred direct phone calls, and didn’t browse Facebook. So, despite

the uproar on social media, he was still unaware of the situation.

The secretary placed tablet in front of him, with Calista’s two responses marked in red. He

couldn’t possibly tell Lucian about what happened with his own words.

Lucian quickly scanned the content and finally fixed one comment“His sexual dysfunction.

The secretary stood by, holding his breath. He couldn’t see Lucian’s expression, but he could sense

the anger emanating from him.

A few minutes passed, and Lucian still hadn’t spoken or taken his eyes off the tableteven though

the screen had long gone dark.

The secretary started feeling uneasy and cautiously asked, “Mr. Northwood, the PR department is

calling to ask if we should take it down.”

They had already tried to contain the situation, but the public’s attention was very focused on

Lucian’s virility, so it was difficult to keep the situation under control.

The entire situation depended on Lucian’s stance. There was a faint smile on Lucian’s lips, but his

gaze remained icy.

“Take it down? Should I let the public think I’m guilty?”

The secretary hesitated momentarily and blurted out, “But there’s no evidence to prove it. Besides,

it’s illegal to share explicit videos.”

Lucian snapped, “Get out!”

After replying to that comment, Calista tossed her phone into her bag and was completely

unaware of the commotion she caused.

She grabbed a quick meal downstairs and noticed the flood of messages and missed calls on her

phone when she went to pay. A glance revealed that her Facebook post had gone viral.

The internet was buzzing with discussions about whether Lucian was capable or not. She packed up Vara’s call and put it on speakerphone among the missed calls

Yara’s voice was excited, “Callie, you’ve done it this time! Let’s see how that scumbag Lucian can contine to pretend he’s a righteous man. And even Lily, the so–called innocent woman, has jumped in for some attention. She’s not afraid of bad press at all!*

Calista turned on the speakerphone and checked Lily’s statement on Facebook.

She wrote two pages eloquentlyexpressing her feelings and clarifying that she was not a mistress and had not disrupted Lucian and Calista’s marriage.

As a friend, she genuinely wished them happinessexpressing regret about their divorce.

She even hinted at an incident where Lucian was injured and hospitalized, but Calistaas his wife, didn’t take care of him and instead tended to his friend.

She didn’t provide specific details but included enough information about the time and place to pique people’s curiosity.

In the comments section, several people mentioned having relatives working at the hospital and expressed their intention to inquire further.

Yara asked, “Are you still at my place?”

“I’ve just finished eating downstairs and was about to leave.”

“Send me your location. Wait for me there. I have something for you.”

Calista shared her address, and when Yara arrived, she had just finished her meal and was about

to pay.

“Here’s 1.2 million. The password is your birthday,” Yara handed a card to Calista.

“I could only get this much for now. We’ll figure out the rest, but let’s start by repaying Lucian’s

money.”

Yara had collected the money by borrowing from friends and family over the past few days.

Calista hadn’t expected Yara to be so persistent about this matter. The Quinn family was relatively

well–off, and although 1.2 million wasn’t a lot for them, it was still a significant sum.

Yara was a fresh college graduate, so Calista knew she must have made considerable effort to

After several seconds, she managed to compose her emotions

“Thank you, but I can’t accept this. You should return the money”

While she also wanted to repay her debt to Lucian as soon as possible, she couldn’t let Yara borrow

money to cover her.

Borrowing such large sum for an extended period would likely upset others and lead to strained

relationships.

Yara pushed the card into her hand.

“You just got out of that marriage. Don’t let him hold you back over a little money. Take it. You’re

my cash cow, I must take good care of you, right? OkayI need to get back to the store now.”

With that, she left quicklyher high heels clacking on the floor. Calista tried to stop her, but she

was already gone. Calista couldn’t help but smile as she watched Yara leave.

She took a taxi back to her apartment and saw Lucian smoking outside her door. There were

already several cigarette butts on the ground, indicating that he had been there for a while.

He stood in the shadows, his striking features veiled by the swirling smoke. When he heard the

elevator doors open, his eyes locked on her.

Calista furrowed her brow.

“What are you doing here?”

Lucian gestured towards the locked door next to him.

“Open the door, we’ll talk inside.”

“Let’s talk right here.”

Calista had no desire to be alone in a room with him.

There were security cameras in the hallway, and despite Lucian’s flaws, she doubted he would

resort to public violence against a woman.

Lucian put out his cigarette and walked toward Calista. As he approached, he began unbuttoning

his shirt casually removed the cufflinks, and tossed them on the ground.

“I want to prove to you I’m perfectly fine ”

Calista pursed her lips

“You shou1á go prove that to Lily. We are divorced, and your issues in the bed have nothing to do

with me.”

What issues?” Lucian’s eyes darkened as he locked his gaze on her.

After a moment, he smiledstepped closer, and pinned Calista against the wall, holding her wrists

“My issue of not being able to get it up?”

Calista opened her mouth to speak but was cut off by Lucian.

“You’re still so focused on the fact that I didn’t touch you during our marriageeven after the

divorce. Calista, how badly do you want me? But I guess you liked it the first time we did itdidn’t

you?”

A man would always reveal their true nature no matter how dignified and refined he may appear

on the surface. He started to utter explicit words.

Calista’s expression turned cold.

You’re an animal.”

“Don’t you like that?” He lowered his head. “Do you remember that night? Let me help you

reminisce.”
