You’r Gonna Miss Me When I’M Gone Chapter 205

You’r Gonna Miss Me When I’M Gone Chapter 205

Chapter 205 Is Mr. Northwood’s Here for a Free Meal

After shopping for the entire morning. Selena and Calista were so tired that they could barely walk. So

they came to a cafe that was beside the streets

Selena asked, What do you want to eat?”

Calista opened an application on her phone to find out what good diners were nearby. Just as she clicked

on the application, she heard someone calling her

ite some time

She turned around and saw Hector. She hadn’t seen him for quite

Hector was dressed in neat and simple mountain gear. He was sporting short boots, with the hem of his

pants tucked in his boots

Although he held a cup of coffee in his hands, he was still the odd one out among professionally dressed

people in the city. He saw Calista, and also Selena who was sitting beside her

Hector knew Selena was Lucian’s mother. He bumped into her previously at Calista’s apartment. He

nodded politely

Aunt Selena.”

Selena also immediately recognized Hector. He was her son’s love rival. She scrutinized him calmly. He’s

goodlooking and welloff, and he’s head over heels for Calista

He’s good with his words and he had that irresistible badboy charm

The more she looked at Hector, the more she felt that all odds were against her son, Selena hated how

stubborn Lucian was. It was something she couldn’t tolerate even though she was his mother

Hector glanced at the shopping bags on the bench and the nearly emptied coffee on the table. He

deduced that they probably came here after shopping

Aunt Selena, you probably haven’t eaten yet, right? I know a really good restaurant nearby. Would you like

to give it a try?”

Selena was about to decline, but Hector continued

I’ve heard from Calista how you treated her as your daughter. I’ve been wanting to treat you to a meal to

express my gratitude to you for taking care of her over these three years.”

Selena was speechless. Her heart sank and she felt weak

Hector was already asserting his dominance. From his tone, he sounded like he thought of Calista as his

own. It seemed like it didn’t take long for her title as godmother to become official

Calista turned toward Hector and looked at him blabbering nonsense in the most earnest way possible

She silently mouthed to him, When did I say Aunt Selena treated me like her own daughter?”

Although Selena did treat Calista exceptionally well, she’d never told Hector about it. Moreover, he

shouldn’t be the one to express his thanks to Selena for treating Calista well

Hector glanced at her and said directly, Too longwinded. I don’t understand.”

Calista covered her face awkwardly as she sensed Selena’s gaze on her. It was so embarrassing

In the end, they still went to the restaurant Hector mentioned. He was so persistent and Selena couldn’t

bring herself to decline his invitation

Hector was used to

walking briskly given his years in the military. He did everything as quickly as possible

But he had been restraining himself since they headed to the restaurant from the cafe. He was only two

steps ahead of Selena to show her the way to the restaurant

They chose a private room with windows revealing the street. It was spring. The flowers at the side of the

road were in full bloom, covering the ground with a thick layer of petals

It was truly a beautiful and romantic scene

In the restaurant on the second floor of the opposite building, Cade raised his brows. He kicked Lucian

who was sitting next to him

I think I just saw your wife.”

Lucian was triggered as he heard Cade mention wife. Calista’s hurtful remarks from last night still

echoed in his ears. Those words pricked him like a sharp needle

She couldn’t care less about him, and he wasn’t going to be a fool either. It wasn’t like he couldn’t live

without her

I don’t have a wife. I’m single. Stop getting me involved with anyone you see.”

Okay.Cade responded

He went back to their discussion on work. He was already being very considerate for pointing it out to

Lucian

After all, it wasn’t his wife who was dining with another man. Did Lucian expect him to drag Calista up to

Lucian didn’t even need Cade’s reminder. His seat was positioned in a way that he could see them

chatting away happily on the other side of the building once he lowered his head

When he glanced over, Hector was placing a bowl of soup in front of Calista. She was about to indulge in

the soup but she stopped because of something Hector said

She paused and moved the spoon away from her lips. She blew on it, then finally brought it to her mouth

Lucian’s eyes dimmed. His lips stiffened

Cade had been going on and on for quite some time. He didn’t get any response from Lucian after waiting

for a while

Cade was a bit irritated when he saw Lucian staring intensely at the opposite building

Serves you right to be dumped by Calista.”

Perhaps Lucian was triggered by this remark. He suddenly got up and headed out of the restaurant

What are you doing?Cade asked

I lost my appetite while I was eating with you. I’m not eating anymore.Lucian replied

Cade was speechless. Lucian went straight to the restaurant Calista was in

As he approached the entrance of the private room, he heard Hector say, Aunt Selena, you’re Calista’s

godmother. That makes you my godmother too. From now on, Calista and I will care for you, and make

sure you’ll be-

Before he could finish off, the door of the private room was forcefully pushed open

They turned toward Lucian at the same time. Each of them shot distinctive looks at him. He stood there

with a grim expression on his face

To Selena, Hector was like the boy next door. And her son, Lucian, was so obtuse to the point that she

couldn’t bear to look at him. She couldn’t be bothered to pay him any attention

Calista was still grudging against him over what happened last night. She too couldn’t be bothered to

direct her attention to him..

Only Hector, who was so thickfaced, raised his brows and said, By any chance, is Mr. Northwood here

for a free meal?”

Lucian strode into the room. He sat right in front of Calista and his gaze was fixated on her. Except when he first came in, her gaze never fell upon him again

Lucian was outraged. He maintained his composure as he smiled

His hoarse voice echoed clearly in the room as he said. Tm just here to see how you are going to seduce

someone else. Did you already forget about the kiss we shared last night? Your knees gave out from it”
