Chapter 6 Behave Yourself
Renee wiped her tears. “I’ve never had cakes. Can I eat one before I die?”
Tristan pulled up sharply in his stride. “Cakes?”
“Yeah,” Renee said. “I wanted to eat cakes when I was a child, but my grandma said they were expensive and didn’t allow my dad to buy them for me.”
Tristan began to doubt whether the Fletcher family brought a random girl from the countryside to marry him. How could Renee live such a miserable life and not even try a cake as a member of the Fletcher family?
“No,” Tristan mercilessly refused and continued to walk forward.
Renee gently tugged at Tristan’s collar and looked at him eagerly. “Why?”
“You’re near death. Don’t ask for so much.” Tristan walked through the corridor. The floral fragrance became stronger in the wind. In the cool moonlight, Tristan, with a handsome face and deep eyes, seemed like an exquisite statue.
Renee pursed her lips and remained silent.
When she left Peace Town, her grandmother said in a voice dripping. with sarcasm that she could finally go back to the wealthy Fletcher family. Her mother looked gloomy, thinking that she would marry a rich man after leaving the town. However, Renee never thought that her biological parents would treat her well.
After all, they took Joanna as their daughter. They loved Joanna dearly and didn’t care about Renee.
Therefore, when Miranda told Rence that she was going to marry a dead person, Renee calmly agreed, but she didn’t expect to die without seeing her biological father and brothers.
Neither Tristan nor Renee spoke again on the way. Tristan pushed open the door of a courtyard, where there were many flower trees. Before Renee could recognize them, Tristan took her into the room, turned on the light, and placed her on the bed.
Renee sat on the bed with black sheets. Holding an apple and a gun in her hands, she appeared more tender.
Tristan stood in front of her and tugged at the collar of his shirt, saying, “This is my place. You can sleep here tonight.”
Renee looked around and whispered, “Are you not going to kill me?”
“I can satisfy you if you want,” Tristan replied as he glanced at Renee.
Renee shook her head.
Tristan suddenly leaned over and pressed his hands down at Renee’s sides, encircling her in his arms. Renee smelled faint tobacco from Tristan, mixed with a woody fragrance, which seemed to be a cypress
one.
Renee raised her watery eyes and looked at Tristan. The latter cupped her face in one hand and pulled back her bangs. Her bright eyes tunned Tristan.
As a member of the renowned Duran family, Tristan had seen a lot of ewelry, luxury cars, and beauties since childhood. However, he fell rey to Renee’s charm.

Her big and round eyes, high nose, full and rosy lips, and fair, chubby cheeks were all bewitching.
No men could control themselves when they saw such a pure yet seductive face.
Tristan moved his hand away, letting Renee’s thick bangs fall and cover half of her face again. Then he said in a hoarse voice, “Stay here and behave yourself.”
Renee nodded obediently.
Tristan pinched her tender cheek. “If you don’t…..”
Renee said at once, “I’ll kill myself!”
Tristan stood up with a smile. “Good.”
He turned around and left the room. Shelton was waiting at the door. Tristan said when he walked to the entrance of the courtyard, “Bring two cakes here.”
