Chapter 19 The Best
Renee didn’t know how to answer it.
Did roast pork have sugar?
Tristan didn’t want to get an answer. He pulled out the chair and sat behind her. “Let’s eat.”
Renee was in a quandary and murmured, “I’ve had lunch just now.”
Tristan was surprised. “Did Diane treat you to a meal? She’s so stupid. I thought she wouldn’t care about this.”
Hearing how Tristan criticized Diane, Renee knew why Diane didn’t like Tristan. If she were Diane, she would be angry too.
Tristan saw that Renee kept touching her belly. He also touched her belly. Renee was shocked. “What are you doing?”
Tristan said, “I wanna check if there’s a baby.”
Renee said, “You’re dead. I won’t get pregnant.”
Tristan raised his eyebrows. “You mean that you want a baby?”
Renee was puzzled.
He continued, “I don’t like kids.”
Renee pursed her lips and thought, “I don’t want to give birth to a baby for you.”
Tristan said, “Are you cursing me in your heart? As long as you purse your lips, you’re cursing someone.”

Renee hurriedly said, “No, I’m not.”
Tristan didn’t want to argue with her. He leaned against the chair and said, “I heard that this morning, all the guests arrived and you didn’t appear You even embarrassed Joanna in front of the crowd.”
Hearing this, Rence looked at Tristan carefully and asked in a low voice, “Mr. Duran, do you like Joanna?”
“What do you think?”
Renee frowned. “She’s been your fiancée since you weren’t even born. You must like her very much.”
Tristan said indifferently, “My fiancée is sitting beside me. What does it have to do with Joanna?”
Although they were engaged, Tristan didn’t know much about Joanna. He didn’t even remember Joanna’s appearance clearly. When he was “alive“, Joanna wanted to marry him, but Tristan didn’t agree. Thus, they didn’t get married and didn’t even hold an engagement party.
Compared to those noble young ladies in Ampleshire, Tristan thought Rence was cuter. He didn’t know someone as interesting as her before.
Rence explained, “I didn’t embarrass Joanna. She asked me to call her sister. I refused.”
Tristan didn’t expect that she would say that. “Why?”
Renee replied, “She’s not my sister. My mom just has only one daughter, me.”
Tristan stared at her for a while and said, “I heard that Klein is not nice to you.”
Renee shook her head. “He’s nice.”
She thought, “As long as someone gives me food, he’s mice.”
Tristan’s face turned cold. He looked at Rence and sneered, “You think everyone’s nice?”
Rence said seriously. “Of course not.”
At least, her grandma and her mom in the countryside and Diane were not good.
“But…” Renee looked at Tristan with her clear eyes and smiled. She wrapped her arms around Tristan’s neck and pecked his cheek. Then she continued in a sweet voice, “I think you’re the best!”
Rence thought, “Tristan feeds me cakes and prepares lunch for me. He is the best person in the world!”
Tristan felt strange about this kiss. He paused because of this sweet kiss. He pinched Renee’s chin and said, “Will you kiss everyone ast long as you think he’s good?”
