“Mr. Alinsky, I won’t hurt Celeste because harming her would be a hundred times more painful than hurting myself,” Kendric said.
Myles couldn’t shake off his shock. Celeste also looked at Kendric with
astonishment.
After a moment of silence, Myles snorted and left in a fit of rage. Celeste
stood still. She wondered if she were in a dream.
“Why didn’t you argue?”
Celeste finally lifted her head, “huh?”
Kendric questioned, “when your father said I would hurt you again, why
didn’t you argue?”
Why didn’t she argue? Celeste bit her lower lip. Perhaps because she herself
wasn’t sure.
Her silence seemed to irritate Kendric. After so much he had done, she still
didn’t trust him.
He lowered his head, getting closer.
Subconsciously, Celeste tried to dodge, but his hand blocked her way. He
bent down and fiercely bit into the exposed skin of her neck.
“Ouch-”
She let out a cry of pain and tried to push him away.
Kendric whispered lowly in her ear, “remember it.” He was slightly
panting, “this will be the worst thing I did to you from now on.”

Celeste’s ear immediately turned a deep red.
She fled to the bathroom and looked in the mirror. Damn! He bit on a tricky
spot, just under her earlobe where couldn’t be covered by her high–neck
sweater.

What a cunning man! Her dad was in the living room, and what if he saw
Facing the mirror, Celeste attempted to use the foundation to cover it.
However, the red bite still faintly showed, and everyone can tell it’s a bite mark
as long as they have eyes!
“Dinner time.” Kendric called from outside the door.
“You come in,” Celeste growled.
He gladly pushed the door open. Celeste pulled her collar slightly and
exposed her neck. “Look what you have done to me. I can’t even cover it. What
the hell are you? A vampire?”
Through the mirror, Kendric’s gaze fell on her neck.
She was wearing a loose forest–green sweater. Because her head was tilted,
the side of her neck connecting to the shoulder revealed a taut trapezius
muscle. It’s beautiful like a well–tuned violin string.
Kendric couldn’t take his eyes away from her, and his hand had already.
moved down along her earlobe.
“Wait,” Celeste tilted her head, trying to shake off the large hand wandering
on her neck. “Don’t touch me.”

He smirked, “okay, won’t touch you.” Yet his hand didn’t move away.

Instead, it just shifted its direction to gently pinch her earlobe.
Her earlobe was soft, and so was the ear cartilage. A light touch was
enough to make them turn pink. Celeste’s heartbeat quickened under hist
teasing.
Kendric held her from behind. His lips were so close to her ear that she
could feel his scorching breathes spraying on her skin.
“You… let go…”
Her remaining sanity was dwindling. She was overwhelmed by his kisses.
Kendric enjoyed trying out these new tricks on Celeste. Like now, he embraced
her from behind and completely enveloped her. His kisses first landed on the
most delicate spot on the back of her neck, then all the way to the front.
In this cramped bathroom, with her dad outside, this brand new experience
gave Celeste the rush that easily aroused her trembling. She wriggled in his
arms, but then got herself sinking deeper into his embrace.
“Don’t… dad is outside.”
Her words seemed to be a goad to Kendric’s tense nerves. His kisses became
more fierce. “No one can separate us.”
It shattered the last defense line in Celeste’s heart. She closed her eyes. At
least for now, she truly believed that no one could separate them.
-what the hell are you doing inside? Get out to eat!”
Myles’s shouts startled Celeste. She gave a shudder of fear.
“Don’t be afraid.” Kendric firmly held her hand to reassure her,

Celeste adjusted her mood and replied to her father, “coming!”
Myles was sitting alone at the dining table in a sulk. The door opened. He
raised his head and observed them. Kendric remained calm as usual, but Celeste
wore an expression of guilt, coupled with her blushed cheeks and evasive eyes.
It was plain as day what they were doing inside just now!
Myles was boiling with anger. He spoke in a less–than–friendly tone, “take
your seat!” Then, he turned to Celeste, “go get the alcohol from the cabinet.”
Celeste nodded and went to the liquor cabinet, which contained various
types of alcohol, including red wine, whiskey, cognac, amaretto, and more.
Celeste hesitated a while and then chose a bottle of red wine.
“Bring them all,” said Myles.
“All?“Celeste was shocked, “you can’t be serious, dad!”
There were at least five or six bottles of strong liquor in the cabinet. If they
were to drink all of them… Celeste dared not to imagine the scene that she
stayed with these two drunkards.
“Dad, we can’t drink this much…”
“Just bring them.”
Celeste had no choice but to bring all the bottles from the cabinet. She knew her dad had a good tolerance for alcohol, though he wasn’t fond of drinking. Her concern was more about Kendric. He was clearly no match for her dad.
Celeste followed her dad’s instructions. For each type of liquor, she pored two glasses and placed them on table.
Glasses with various colored drinks quickly filled the tabletop. Celeste was

apprehensive, but Kendric remained calm and composed.
“Drink up.” Myles gestured to Kendric, then he added, “drink them all.‘
“Dad, how can you do this?” Celeste stomped, “you don’t take a sip, but you
make him finish the whole glass. That’s unfair.”
Kendric picked up a glass from the table and drank it all in one go. Myles
also picked up a glass and drank it all without blinking.
“Cely, refill the glasses.”
