“I’m going to be your Luna and take up the responsibility of saving us all“, I said out of the blues and his chest vibrated with hums of satisfaction. “I promise to be a better man for you, baby. For us“, he whispered before placing a kiss on my forehead.
All of a sudden, I jumped away from him when a realization hit me. He looked at me stunned and confused, “huh, what’s going on. Did I say something wrong?” He asked genuinely confused and I almost giggled from how adorable his confused face looked.

“I should go and apologize to Jayden and Rose“, I said and his face relaxed. “I was so rude to them a while ago“, I muttered sadly and he pulled me into him again.

I hit him on his shoulder and he looked at me with fake hurt on his face. “Ouch, what was that for?” He asked, rubbing where I just hit him even though I know it didn’t have any effect on him.

I waited for him to stand up and when he did not, I looked in his direction to find him pouting. “So what is it now?” I rolled my eyes at him playfully. “You called me a jerk, I just remembered“, he sulked.
“I’m not going to lie, he looks totally adorable right now“, Jasmine pointed out and I couldn’t help but agree.
“Yes, I did, Adrian. You were a jerk, a dumb jerk“, I squinted my eyes at him and a smile almost broke out on his face. Of course, why would I think he was serious?.
“I had my reasons, baby“, his expression changed into a serious one as he spoke. I waited to hear if he’d add any other information but he stopped. “Yeah, yeah, I believe you. Now can we go?” I asked when he wasn’t saying anything anymore.

Rose and Jayden were sitting. My heart was pounding so hard in my chest, I was sure they could all hear it.
Rose was the first to look up from the TV they were watching. When she saw me, her face lightened up. “Pumpkin, are you okay now?” was her first question and I managed a smile. She did not deserve my rudeness.
Jayden looked up too with a ghost of a smile on his face. “We’re glad you finally made that bold decision, Lola. We’ll be here to support you in every way possible. The whole pack is going to support you“, Jayden said and I nodded.

“We’re having a girl’s day out. Be here in thirty“. The message was simple and straightforward and I knew that “here” in this sense meant the pack house.
I contemplated bailing on them because I do not want the pack members to say things about me but I knew it had to be done.
“Sure“, I texted back and placed my phone back in my pocket. “I have to go to the pack house“, I said, “the girls and I are having a girl’s day out“. Jayden and Rose hummed their responses and Adrian offered to walk me to the pack house since he had to meet Nathan also.
