Emilia hadn’t anticipated actually running into Nathan.
She had been thinking about it before she arrived, “I won’t be so unlucky as to bump into Nathan, right?”
She didn’t expect such a coincidence to occur.
Emilia’s face tensed up, and she looked away expressionlessly.
Wayne quickly rushed to welcome Nathan and respectfully held the door open for him. “Mr. Miller, you’ve returned at just the right time. Mr. Noah Miller has been inquiring about you today! Ms. Saunders also paid a visit and brought numerous presents for him.”
“Is that so?”
Nathan cast a glance in Emilia’s direction. His fingertips were slightly reddened from gripping the gift boxes. His expression momentarily softened.
He hadn’t expected to encounter Emilia in the mansion.
Normally, when Noah wasn’t feeling well or was in a gloomy mood, he would summon Emilia to keep him company. “Could it be that she came here because she saw the livestream today?” Nathan mused.
However, Nathan didn’t speak, and neither did Emilia. The atmosphere was a little tense at that moment. Wayne looked at them and hurriedly tried to smooth things over. “Oh, it’s getting dark. Don’t stand outside the door. Hurry in now!” he urged.

She thought, “If he wants to carry it, I’ll let him carry it!”
