Noah finished his speech and stroked his silver beard in high spirits as he hung up the phone with Wayne.
Meanwhile, at Emilia’s mansion.
“It’s been a delightful day. Firstly, Norman has returned. Secondly, we gave Nathan a well–deserved slap in the face. And thirdly, we made Jessica pay for her deeds! We have to celebrate today, Lia! I’ll buy some food. When Nathan returns, we’ll welcome him properly!”
Jacob couldn’t sit still. He wanted to buy some treats to welcome Norman.
“Sure!” Emilia raised her hand in agreement. “But I still have some work to do here, so I’ll have to ask you to go there alone, Jacob.”
Emilia felt embarrassed as she stuck out her tongue and raised her hand to show her helplessness.
“It’s okay. I was going to the wine cellar to get a bottle of red wine anyway. We’ll have a great time celebrating tonight!”
It had been long since the siblings had been together, and today’s events were truly satisfying. Jacob seemed to be in an even better mood than Emilia.
As soon as Jacob left the mansion, Emilia received a phone call from Noah.
