Chapter 51
Meanwhile, Emilia returned to her room and sat at the dressing table, staring at the photo frame on the table, lost in thought.
The photo frame was placed in the most conspicuous place on the table, neat and tidy, without any dust on the photo frame, as it was often touched and wiped.
“Dar!…” Emilia sighed with some nostalgia and pain in her eyes.
The photo in the frame was a cheerful family photo taken on her seventh birthday when her father had given her a small
Her father held the young her in his arms while her mother snuggled up to her father, with three of them having bright smiles on their faces.
There was a deer beside them. That deer was then sent to the Gibson family’s backyard ten years ago, and it should be much taller than people now.
Holding the photo in her arms, Emilia’s eyes showed a determined look, and she whispered, “Dad, don’t worry. definitely get your favorite antique porcelain bowl back! No matter how much it costs, I must get it back!”
Emilia couldn’t sleep well that night and was in bad spirits when she got up the next day.
Looking at herself in the mirror, she called a makeup artist,
Emilia had a good appearance. She used to be stunning just by wearing light makeup.

But at this time, she didn’t want to show her inappropriateness in front of Nathan, so after going through the hands of a professional makeup artist, her appearance became even more amazing and she attracted much attention on her way to Miller Group.
Is it Ms. Saunders of Saunders Group?”
Walking into the lobby on the first floor of Miller Group, a well–dressed intellectual woman in her thirties walked to Emilia gently. Her eyes flashed with amazement, and she praised, “You’re so beautiful, Ms. Saunders!”
Nathan occasionally handled business at home, so Emilia recognized the woman in front of her as Nathan’s secretary, Abigail Lawson.
But the woman didn’t know that she was Nathan’s wife before.
Such irony!
As Nathan’s secretary for many years, she had never seen her boss‘ wife. It could be seen that Nathan had never mentioned her on any occasion.
“Yes, I am. Thank you.” Emilia nodded lightly.
The last time Nathan went to Saunders Group, she made him look embarrassed, and Emilia thought that he would not let her see him easily on the day.
However, to Emilia’s surprise, Nathan didn’t arrange for Abigail to embarrass her. Instead, she was very polite.
Even if she led the way, she had always been paying attention to her sense of decency. She always leaned sideways and kept an appropriate distance from Emilia.
“Mr. Miller knew that you had never been to Miller Group before, so he was worried that you might get lost here and asked me to show you the way.”
She even thoughtfully asked Emilia, “Do you have any eating habits, Ms. Saunders? Do you prefer coffee or juice!”

“How was it this easy?” Emilia thought.
Emilia’s eyes narrowed slightly. She always felt something was wrong.
Abigail smiled. “Mr. Miller told me that when he first went to Saunders Group, his experience was a little had. So, he wanted you to feel at home when you came to Miller Group!”
Emilia was speechless and pursed her lips. She got burned and understood his underlying meaning.
Abigail knocked on the door when they arrived at the CEO’s office. After hearing Nathan’s response, she left respectfully.
Meanwhile, Emilia paced in and saw the man’s sculpted side profile at a glance. He was focused on reading documents, his shirt sleeves rolled up and revealing strong arms.
Emilia looked away and asked, ‘Mr. Miller, what’s your condition? You can tell me now.”
Emilia’s voice was full of alienation as if they hadn’t met before, like a business partner she just met.
Nathan frowned, put down his pen, and took a sip of coffee.
He raised his eyes and asked, “Why do you want that antique porcelain bowl? I don’t remember you having a hobby of collecting antiques.”
Nathan leaned against the executive chair, squinting at the woman sitting opposite him indifferently.
Hearing his question, Emilia was silent for a few seconds. Then, she leaned back and looked at Nathan coldly. “Does Mr. Miller know what I like well? You don’t have the memory, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have this hobby.”
Emilia sounded aggressive.
Hearing Emilia’s sarcastic tone, Nathan felt a little uncomfortable.
However, he didn’t show it. His tone was still calm, and his lips pursed slightly. Tm just stating the facts, Emilia. Aren’t you afraid I won’t give it to you if you have such a brusque response to me?”
“She lied, hid her identity from me for years, and then humiliated me. Why is she acting like I bullied her?” he thought.
Emilia pursed her lips and said. “Mr. Miller should not be such a petty–minded person and go back on his word just because I said a few words. I don’t have much time today. Tell me about your conditions!”
She didn’t bother to talk to Nathan anymore.
After the divorce from Nathan, she talked more to him than when they were a couple.
Emilia was afraid that if she interacted with him more, she would let her hard–built guard down again.
Nathan glanced at her unexpectedly and took out the porcelain bowl Emilia had longed for from the cabinet under the desk. It was in the same wrapping at the auction. Apparently, he hadn’t touched it after he bought it back.
He put the things on the table and said, “I’m not short of money. So just tell me why you want this antique porcelain bowl, and I will give it to you.”
“You… Why don’t you just open and study it, since you are curious and suspicious? Maybe there is a treasure map of the
ancient treasure in it.”
Emilia couldn’t help but want to bicker with Nathan as she felt depressed.
The more she said, the more she felt wronged.
Yet, Nathan didn’t say anything but looked at Emilia intensely.

Chapter 51
Emilia was at a loss for words.
Emilia took a deep breath, calmed herself down, looked at Nathan, and said grim–faced, “This antique porcelain bowl was my birth father’s Lavorite item in his life. It contains my memories of him, so I want to buy it back.”
“It was her father’s?” he exclaimed inwardly.
Nathan gently rubbed the table in front of him, and a strange feeling flashed across his heart.
