Chapter 101
If it weren’t for Grandpa, I would have punched you in the face!”
Emilia gritted her teeth and looked at Nathan. “Nathan, what have I ever done to offend you? Why do you keep finding fault with me? We’re already divorced. Do you not understand what that means?”
Obviously, it was not enough to release Emilia’s anger and resentment by biting Nathan just once. She let go of Nathan’s arm, creating some distance between them.
Her eyes fixed accusingly on the man in front of her.
Since he thought she was evil, she wondered why he kept appearing in front of her.
She thought, “Isn’t this just adding trouble for him and for me as well?”
At this moment, Emilia looked like an angry cat with its fur standing on end.
Nathan was a little stunned.
However, his irritation surged again when he thought about her laughing and chatting with Simon, eagerly dating other men right after their divorce, yet insisting that she married him because she liked him.
Nathan’s face darkened, and he firmly held onto Emilia. “Am I finding fault with you? Don’t you remember that as soon as we divorced, you started hanging out with that pretty boy everywhere, even using your influence to pressure others? I’m just protecting your reputation, as well as mine.”
Emilia sneered and thought Nathan was really ridiculous. “Reputation? We’ve already divorced, and no one knows I was your ex–wife! What reputation do I have to ruin? Aren’t you now protecting the real woman who’s embarrassing you?”
“How ridiculous! Nathan and I are divorced, yet he begins to take note of my affairs?” she thought.
Perhaps Nathan felt the sarcasm on Emilia’s face was really dazzling because he leaned toward her. “Even though we’re divorced, for your sake, you should at least choose a man who is on par with me.”
He paused and said, “Raysdan Corporation in Radford is only considered

upper–middle class at best. He can’t protect you, nor can he provide any assistance to Saunders Group.”
After Emilia heard Nathan’s words, her eyes grew colder.
“What does Nathan mean? Does he think I am only interested in men for their usefulness? Does he think I make friends with others only because they are useful?” she thought.
She bitterly thought that Nathan, Fiona, and Caroline always believed she married him for his money and usefulness.
Their paths had diverged, and they had nothing to talk about anymore.
Emilia was angry, and her words carried that anger. “Mr. Miller, you really don’t understand me. I like this type of younger man now. I have the money and am willing to spend it on him. I love his youth and vitality, as well as his willingness to cater to my every whim. Even if he’s broke and has no power, he’s still better than you!”
Emilia’s every word was cutting, and it could be said that she had not. spoken nicely to Nathan since their divorce.
This made Nathan quite uncomfortable.
Emilia used to speak to him softly and gently. Now, with her bristling demeanor, he wondered if she distanced herself from him because she was with someone else.
Nathan imprisoned Emilia between his arms. He slightly lowered his head and gently exhaled to suppress the anger in his heart. He said, “Emilia, even if we can’t be husband and wife, we can still get along. Why do you have to treat me as if we are some deep–seated enemies?” He kept his face taut and finally voiced his long–held thoughts.
Emilia was stunned for a moment. She thought, “What is Nathan saying? Getting along? It’s ridiculous. Anyone but him can persuade me about this. Only he doesn’t have this right!”
“I have no intention of being friends with you. Nathan, do me a favor. Please stay away from me. Do you think you are a popular person? Since Jessica cares about you, go find her then. I don’t welcome you here! We have no connection anymore. Since we’re divorced, we should be strangers. Don’t tell me you think it was an amicable divorce. Let me make it clear. I’m single now, and I’ll be with whomever I want. I’ll hang out with whomever I choose, and yes, I’ll sleep with whomever I please.

You have no say in it!” After saying that, Emilia slipped out from under Nathan’s arm, her anger fueling her desire to leave.
Little did he know that these words would push Nathan, who was already irritable, over the edge.
He grabbed Emilia, who was about to leave, with one hand and encircled her waist with the other, pulling her into his embrace.
Looking at Emilia’s defiant gaze, Nathan leaned down. A hint of frustration was visible in his eyes, and he ruthlessly sealed her lips with his own.
“Mmph!”
Emilia had smooth skin. Nathan had initially kissed her out of anger, but the kiss inexplicably transformed into a passionate encounter.
Emilia’s eyes widened in surprise, completely unprepared for Nathan’s unexpected move.
“Is he out of his mind?” she thought.
Sensing his intention to continue, Emilia fiercely bit his lip.
Nathan furrowed his brows and instinctively released Emilia’s lips.
Snap!
The scorching sensation from their lips and the heat in his cheeks left Nathan momentarily dazed. He met her icy, emotionless gaze, tinged with disdain, and felt a sudden pang in his heart.
