Chapter 19
“What are you talking about? Mind your manners,” Mia shot back.
“Why you gotta be so uncivilized? As class president, I’m telling you, get out of Above–average Class right now!” Stella glared at Mia, her face turning as blue as a smurf. Getting insulted out of nowhere, especially on her own turf, dealt her ego a heavy blow.
“Oh, no wonder she’s acting all high and mighty. She’s class president,” Mia thought.
“Even if you’re the class president, sorry, but you don’t get that privilege.” After all, Mia was the one who refused to be class president. Stella had no right to strut around like she owned the place.
“You!” Seeing that Mia wasn’t intimidated even after revealing herself, Stella felt her glasses nearly sliding off her face in frustration.
“I’m class president, and I have the authority to keep things in order in Above–average Class!” She wanted to use her title to put Mia in her place.
“What’s with all the yelling?!” Mr. Newt happened to be strolling by Above–average Above–average Classnd, hearing the ruckus, walked in.
Startled by the sudden questioning, Stella turned around to face Mr. Newt.
“Mr. Newt!” After spotting him, Stella immediately held her breath.
“Stella, what’s all the shouting about?” Mr. Newt stood at the doorway, giving her the third degree.
“Mr. Newt, this student isn’t even in our class. I told her to beat it, but she won’t. She even threw some dirty words my way.” Stella quickly played the victim.
“Who’s
got the
guts to act up in school!” Mr. New nnoyed, marched over.
“Her.” Stella pointed to Mia, just chilling in her seat.
Mr. Newt glanced at Mia. He hadn’t seen her around school before.
“Which Above–average Classre you from?” he asked with a serious face.
Mia glanced at him and replied, “Above–average Class.”
Mr. Newt raised an eyebrow. He had been to Above–average Class several times, and he sure didn’t recall seeing her before. “Then what’s your name?”
“Mia Wilson.”
At the mention of that name, Mr. Newt’s eyes widened. Even though he hadn’t come face to face with her, he knew the name. “You’re the Mia who’s acing everything in the whole damn school?”
“Yup,” she replied coolly.
Mia’s classmates went wild. Even Stella, standing next to Mr. Newt, was floored to hear that.
“Didn’t see that coming, huh? She’s the elusive top student who rarely graces us with her presence! And she’s the best in our grade!”
“Her entrance is definitely one for the books!”

Chapter 19
“So pretty! She’s gotta be the class hottie!”
“Class hottie? No one even comes close to this campus belle!”
“This is gonna be good. Let’s see how Stella, who’s usually so full of herself, handles this…” The students buzzed with excitement.
Mr. Newt, enjoying the show, was also pleased. As the top student in the entire school, Mia was always a mystery, and today was a chance to get a glimpse of her.
“Stella! As class president, dealing with a situation without knowing all the facts and causing such a huge misunderstanding, you, as a class leader, are truly irresponsible!” Mr. Newt scolded her, putting on a show in front of Mia, who seemed to savor the moment.
As Stella was publicly reprimanded by Mr. Newt, her face was redder than a tomato.
“All right, enough with the drama.
“Mia, if you need anything, come to the office.
“Everyone, back to your studies.” After scanning the room, Mr. Newt left Above–average Class.
Once helft. 17
was gone, Stella, looking ticked off, shot Mia a glare. It was her fault for not explaining things clearly, making her get scolded by Mr. Newt in front of the whole class. She was dead set on saving face.
Mia paid no mind to the curious stares and pulled out a book to read.
The bell rang, signaling the start of class. Ms. Clark walked into the classroom and, with a quick scan, noticed the unfamiliar student, Mia.
“Hey, you! What Above–average Classre you from? Why are you here in our class? Get back to your class right now.” Ms. Clark scolded her in a bossy
.e.
“Teacher, she’s in our class. She’s Mia, the top student in the whole school!” one student hesitantly reported to the teacher.
“Oh! So she’s Mia.” Ms. Clark immediately looked at her with a smile.
“You should have informed me before coming to class so that I could arrange a seat for you,” she said a bit excitedly, as if Mia’s sudden arrival had brought a new vibrancy to the entire class.
“Stella, move one seat back in this row,” Ms. Clark instructed.
Hearing her words, Stella looked at her in astonishment. However, she didn’t budge. She had been sitting in the front row all along. Why should she give her seat to a newcomer like Mia?
